Whether you’re popping in for a pint and a bite, settling in for a long lunch, or treating yourself to brunch or a proper Sunday roast, The Rose & Crown is always welcoming. Our staff are super friendly and take great pride in The Rose & Crown.
Our menu changes with the seasons. As far as possible, all our ingredients are sourced locally, making full use of the wonderful fresh produce this corner of Norfolk has to offer.

Brunch, including the R&C’s famous Great British Breakfast, is served every morning.
We welcome children to The Rose & Crown, and offer a top quality children’s menu.
From hearty breakfasts to relaxed family suppers, every visit is a chance to sit back, slow down and enjoy great food in good company.
Although we’ll always try to accommodate walk in diners, we do tend to get very busy so, if possible, please book in advance by using our Book a Table button or contacting our Reception to reserve a table.

Where to Eat
A table for every occasion
The same delicious menu is served throughout The Rose & Crown. Choose from our stylish, candlelit Cellar Bar restaurant, our light and airy Garden Room, by the fire in one of the bars, or on a sunny day sit in our glorious walled garden.it
The Garden Room leads (as the name suggests!) onto our lovely garden, with its wonderful playground, perfect for families or larger parties. Children will love our beautiful walled garden with its magnificent climbing galleon, The Merrie Rose, much loved by generations of R&C customers.
In the summer, our Beach Hut Kitchen serves delicious seafood snacks and platters. Grab a table in our lovely garden and settle down to a glass of chilled rose and a bowl of local seafood. Or order from our main menu. Unfortunately, tables in the garden cannot be booked.
Families & Dogs
We love children and we love dogs!
Children are always welcome at The Rose & Crown, and we offer a top quality children’s menu to keep younger diners happy. High chairs can be provided on request. Something to eat and then a dash from Garden Room (a good place for families) into our lovely walled garden with its magnificent wooden climbing galleon, The Merrie Rose, loved by generations of Rose & Crown customers.
Dogs are also welcome in the bars, Garden Room and Garden but must be kept on a lead. Water and maybe a biscuit or two are available for our four legged friends.
Breakfast & Brunch
Brunch! The best way to start your day.
Our delicious R&C Brunch is served every morning, offering everything from croissants and a cappuccino to avocado on toast and a latte. But don’t panic, our famous Great British Breakfast is still on the menu! Perfect for meeting friends, warming up after an early birdwatch on Snettisham Beach, or as a gentle start to a day of exploring.
Sundays
Our legendary traditional Sunday roast
Sundays at The Rose & Crown wouldn't be the same without our legendary traditional roast. It's served from 12 noon and is a firm favourite with locals and visitors alike, so booking ahead is a good idea.

Seafood in the garden!
In the summer, our Beach Hut Kitchen serves delicious seafood nibbles and platters. Grab a table in our lovely garden (sadly these tables cannot be booked) and settle down to a glass of chilled rose and a plate of fresh local seafood.
Drinking
Good beers and great ales have been at the heart of The Rose & Crown for centuries.
Now joined by our excellent wine list, tantalising cocktails and great selection of alcohol free beers, wines and juices.
We are what good pubs are about, with three bars, each with its own character, and all relaxed and welcoming to regulars and visitors alike. The same menu is served throughout The Rose & Crown and customers are very welcome to eat in the bars. Unfortunately bar tables cannot be reserved.
The Front Bar is the oldest part of the building, with pamment floor, low ceiling, wood burner and ancient beams, and usually a dog or two snoozing by the fire. The Small Bar is cosy and very comfy, the perfect place to hunker down for a quiet glass of wine or a meal. The Back Bar with huge open fire is much favoured by the Snettisham cricket team (very successful and sponsored by The Rose & Crown). Their team photos and honours boards hang on the walls.
On a sunny evening drinkers will spill out onto Old Church Road to stand with a pint and enjoy the sunset, or sit at one of our red bistro tables with a glass of wine and something delicious to eat.
And of course, drinkers can use our lovely walled garden, and during the Summer, our Beach Hut Bar.
